Explore Monte Da Palhagueria
Faro, the capital of the Algarve, lies 15 km to the south and provides access a wealth of beaches and resorts, including Vale do Lobo and Quinta Do Lago with their famous golf courses and a host of restaurants and amenities.
The village of Loulé, famous for it's Saturday morning gipsy market (at the end of Rua da nossa Senhora da Piedade), is situated 9km to the west. Santa Bárbara de Nexe is even closer, just 4km drive to the south.
The nature reserve, Parque Nautral da Ria Formosa, runs along the coast to the west and east of Faro providing a wealth of flora and fauna and may beautiful walks. For those wishing to explore a little further a field, the Vila Real bridge makes Spain’s, Seville surprisingly accessible by car at just over an hour’s motoring.
You will never be short of things to do at Monte da Palhagueira, even on those rare occasions the sun doesn’t make an appearance!
