Village Life
Pastimes include weekly events such as a book club coffee morning and a Wednesday social evening, with wine provided, all taking place within the village hall. A monthly villagers’ lunch is arranged in Le Marquis restaurant and there are various concerts and barbeques taking place throughout the summer months. A weekly mini bus service takes residents to local shops and supermarkets in the nearby towns of Loulé and Almancil, for which a nominal charge applies.
The village has its own, purpose built Anglican Church of St. Luke, holding regular services, concerts and fundraising events. The delightful Le Marquis restaurant, which is open to the public, sits within the grounds and for those wishing to take some exercise, our village pool and clubhouse provide the ideal location to soak up the sun or simply to enjoy a cool drink or evening barbeque.
The gardens provide relaxing walks, punctuated by numerous, shaded resting areas, be your preference for elevated views of the surrounding hillside or the tranquility of our ornamental lake and pagoda.
Other facilities include a hairdressing salon, physiotherapy unit and doctor’s surgery, 2 pools (one with wheelchair access), tennis court, putting green & petanque pitch.
